Sandal pentanol is a powerful, diffusive and extremely tenacious ingredient. It imparts a rich, warm, highly authentic sandalwood character to perfumes, as well as volume and substantivity. It is  most commonly used in combination with Ebanol. This amalgamation works as an effective sandalwood replacement.
